“This is it! This is them! WAVE!!!”

A couple of work colleagues and I went to the best viewing point of the airport, the 8th level of the International Airport Car Park, to witness today’s arrival of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, and baby Prince George to Sydney. Us three loyal subjects of Her Majesty, The Queen, waved passionately  at the Royal Australian Air Force Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) carrying her Grandchild and Great Grandchild as it landed at 2.29pm this afternoon. We were not the only ones there , there was one other person, a photographer with a spiffy camera and and telephoto lens but he didn’t wave

As the aircraft continued to taxi to the VIP arrival area on the other side of the airport, we wondered if they had seen us on top of the airport car park waving fervently, when suddenly it dawned on us, we were on the right hand side of the aircraft, on the left was the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Skyline and no doubt thats what they were looking at….perhaps someone royal saw us.. Prince George?

Welcome to Australia your Royal Highness’s!

  1. Hehe! I am sure if they did see you waving it would have made their day! I am pleased they had a welcoming party for the Aussie arrival albeit a little small. Great images!

  2. Hehe you are too cute! I’m sure someone of note saw you! 😀
